Production and quality
Andermatt Biocontrol Suisse has developed an extensive knowhow in baculovirus production since 1988. Our range of baculovirus products are all produced in living insects in Switzerland. Standardised production processes with continuous optimisation ensure high stability of product quality to meet Swiss quality standards.
Every produced batch undergoes a strict quality control procedure. Quality control includes testing in bioassays for activity, virus particle counting, screening for contaminants and testing of physical and chemical properties.
Andermatt Biocontrol Suisse produces the largest range of baculovirus products worldwide, with currently 15 products in the portfolio (20 products within the Andermatt Group) (Link zu Kapitel 2.1). The product portfolio not only allow for a more sustainable pest control in orchards but also provide innovative solutions for vegetable and row crop production.The Andermatt baculovirus products have been registered in over 50 countries with many registrations pending worldwide.
